Back in high school, I spent many a night with friends playing Rifts. Wasn't much of an AD&D fan, only played it once or twice (and honestly, it might have been the people I played it with since it was a different group than my Rifts group), but Gary Gygax passed away yesterday at the rather young age of 69.
